Interested in becoming a Certified ScrumMaster? Come to my next workshop!
Hi all.
So as we close out 2008, I am getting my plans ready for next year.
Yikes. Some of the plans are *really* out there.
One of the things I have noticed over the years is the “path” I lead behind me.
People are *really* passionate about this stuff.
Now.
Can we link together Scrum with people in the “real” world (outside of Software Development) that are truly passionate about completing projects?
Should we?
Many opportunities.
Where will it lead…

This only happens once (more if you are using multiple computers). Once you are in the system, everything is good to go after that.

EMailing w/a friend, wife of an EU diplomat, I (ohhh so gently) edged into in-group/out-group dynamics (which, of course, entails “not invented here” as well as zero-sum game) and came up with a bit of a challenge.
*cue Dylan’s “Times, they aaaaaaaaare a chaaaaa’aangin’” … you know, the line about how if folk can’t lend a hand then they should get outta the way? But frenz, folk who sided w/bullies in the schoolyard learned by reward that there’s a living to be made obstructing innovation.)

I believe we should link and we could link scrum with people in the real world. Just like what the proponents of the traditional method are saying, scrum can become a way of life for ordinary people and may it will improve their lives, too.
I have read about a former Indian ambassador use project management dispensing her work. I believe the same can be true for scrum…
