Interested in becoming a Certified ScrumMaster? Explore your options of becoming a CSM today.
This is an explosive new post where I (Michael Vizdos) in conjunction with some other Certified Scrum Trainers – will RELEASE ALL our material into public domain (under creative commons) so that anyone can use what we have developed over the years.
Is this selfish of us doing this?
We will promise that you will not be able to “certify” new Scrum Masters (from the point of view of the Scrum Alliance, a non-profit organization).
Does this matter?
If you *would* like “Certified” trainers to come in and help with your training roll-outs — we are available to do that. In the end, we have realized that there is more of a need to get people exposed to the Certified Scrum Training materials that a few of us have been selling (the training services of) for many years.
Here is the plan.

A very interesting post indeed!
It is hard to create good training materials from scratch, especially for specific concepts that require near-immediate discussion.
I have found that most trainers are quite liberal with their materials. I have yet to have a rejection when I have asked to use a slide or article in my training efforts. This seems to be the next step to spreading the information further.
Thanks for taking the leap!
Who else is doing this with their materials?

Hi,
Even not a CST (yet).
I have to admit that my training materials is also inspired by other materials i have seen and trainings i have attended.
I also think that most of the CSM materials i have seen, have more commonalities than differences.
So, kudos for raising the glove, and i am also willing to share my materials if anyone is interested.
Elad.

Where are the materials for download?

How is this free training? I’m confused. Giving away material isn’t training, it’s giving away material. It’s very generous and everything, but it isn’t training.
Are you planning to follow up by giving free training to those who use the material? Now that would be interesting

Mike, I don’t see a link to the materials. Should we email you for them? Thanks.
